It is pretty cool to see the topic shift to racing. If we continue talking about racing I will have to bow out of the convo because I do not know a thing about it. I am impressed that christy knew what kind of vehicle johnly drives because I couldn't remember reading where he mentioned it. Is that creepy, telepathic, or a weak attempt at sounding funny or cool. I'm not entirely sure.

That is pretty creepy. I admit I was laughing pretty hard at all this. It is irritating when people step up to some 7th gradish tone and insult to make themselves somehow sound superior, when we all know they end up sounding like ____.

My question is, why do people assume what kind of racing I talking about? I was referring to my RC cars that hobby on. I have learned long ago I don't need to prove anything. When people disagree, why can't they do it in an intelligent manner? I don't really engage in the name calling and insulting very much. People know if you come at with me with some intellectual tact, I may give them the time of day, links, whatever else.

I usually tell the name calling/insulting type to go outside and play. These are forums to discuss. Not berate, insult, or act like an ___. I used to just bite back, but that does nothing productive. I learn here, I help at times, and I am not here to be all knowing or berate people because I disagree with them. To many more important things to do. I live close to colorado national speedway. Spend summers in pit row. I know people who race. I graduated from nursing school with a chick that races at bandamere speedway. Does that mean I have experience? No it does not. I am far from an idiot.

Btw, samsung plastic is boss when it houses software that is actually cool. Unlike blinkfeed. Lmao:D

The newton predated palm by a long time. So...your argument doesn't make any sense.

What's a Newton?

Officially disappointed by the GS4. I think it's too gimmicky IMHO.

I mean really, who will honestly use scrolling gestures on this thing? It's inconvenient. I would've expected more.

Just my 2?, which is worth nothing.

So about that HTC One...

Ditto!

I will be purchasing an HTC ONE for my wife once it's released on Verizon, which is supposed to happen this month.

I'm always glad to be given the opportunity to do this

What's the point? Samsung already lost the hardware battle. We all know they are using plastic - cheap plastic at that. Not only that but the teaser looks like they kept the same design. It looks old and outdated for sure.

The materials Samsung using as a casing for their devices means they've already lost the hardware battle? Phew. I almost thought the processor, screen, GPU, camera were important, but thankfully I now know to judge devices based off their build materials.

Thank you for your beautiful words of wisdom.

P.S. I hate the plastic Samsung uses and I think the One is gorgeous. That said, your comment was laughable, foolish, and plain wrong.

The One has a better screen, though Samsung's is slightly bigger. In the US, the One has the Snapdragon 600 processor, while supposedly the GS4 has the S4 Pro, so the One might have the better processor, or at the very least tie if the GS4 has the S600.

And the camera, check out Technobuffalo's camera comparison withe the One and GS4, it looks like the One has the better camera too.

So using the additional criteria you mentioned, the One either ties or is better, plus the build quality.

Um, where in my comment did I compare these devices?

I didn't. I called out the post that I quoted for saying Samsung lost the hardware battle because it built a device from plastic, where I then mocked the original poster by sarcastically implying the processor, screen, GPU, and camera (of any device) are irrelevant.

Well, the post you were replying to was talking about the GS4 losing the hardware battle to the HTC One in which you replied about the processor, ect. So, it seemed like you were implying that the HTC One may have the better materials but that the GS4 had the better internals. No need to get defensive.

Samsung hasn't and won't lose any hardware battles to any of their competitors any time soon. The fact that their phones are plastic is all about profit margin.

They already have. The One is better than the S4.

Man. Looking at the one's design just blows my mind. For once, I think a android phone has outdone the iphone in the design department. I am still interested.

I'm going to try my darndest to post something that is relevant, and not offensive to either side. The HTC One is a beautiful device. I think HTC absolutely nailed it on this one and it is the first HTC device to interest me in a long long time. I think the One is going to be SO good, that it could potentially outsell the S4. I doubt it really will, because there are a lot of people out there who will buy the S4 just because their friends have the Galaxy S3 and they want to feel cool. Which is exactly my gripe with Apple.

However, at least with the S4, there are innovative (somewhat gimmicky) features that I know I could use and have fun with. Not all of them are necesseties by any stretch, but I think they are cool, and they could at least impact future development. MY problem with Apple, is they focus so much on the outer shell, that nothing happens internally. HTC was able to focus on both the inside and the outside. Samsung didn't do anything outside, but they made some very cool changes inside. I would happily own both phones if I could, but as much as i've loved my S3, the S4 improved in all the areas that I disliked about the 3. I LOVE my S3, so I would be tempted more so to buy the S4. If I was in the market to buy, you can bet that I would go in and examine both devices fairly before making a decision. But ultimately in the end, I would decide based on what I have experienced, and what I need. I have to be honest, Samsung's offering seems to fit my needs more so than blinkfeed at the moment. But until they're released, I refuse to pick a winner.

S4 lost in processor - It has S4 Pro
S4 lost in screen - its pentile
S4 lost in camera - no dual flash

You're not gonna notice the specs in day to day use, the screen looks amazing even though we only have videos but even people who have seen it in person say so, that's amusing how you say a camera loses because of its flash.
