Not receiving email notifications

Droid DNA - not getting email notifications even though the box is checked to receive them. Any ideas what to do?

if all else fails try a hard reset. make sure all of your data is backed up first.

After I posted this question, I'm all of a sudden receiving notifications. :/ It's been 6 months or longer that I've gotten them. Oh well! Thanks anyway.
