Not receiving messages from my friends iphone

Hi i have an Lg G2 and switched from an iphone almost a year ago. I did the whole thing of shutting imessage off when i made the switch. Now i cant receive messages from this one specific person. She can read mine but i cant see her response.

make sure she has settings set as - "Send as SMS when iMessage is unavailable".

Pretty sure she did that ^^ i heard u might have to delete and re add the contact?

The contact had to be deleted and re added

Do you mean you deleted that contact and readied them or did they have to delete and re add you?

Well that's annoying. Apples solution is for me to have to go all my contacts and complete this annoying task
