Not seeing the option to safely remove hardware after connecting pixel to pc

Recently went to plug my phone in to my computer to transfer some songs and noticed when I went to safely remove it down in the taskbar, it was not showing up.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Is it okay to just pull the plug?

I tried uninstalling the device drivers and then plugging the phone back in to reinstall them, but that didn't seem to work. Are there any drivers I need to download on my own?

Same with mine, it doesn't show as a device for whatever reason. I usually right click the entry in File Explorer and see if they're a remove option. If not then yeah, just disconnect the sucker once you know there's no file transfers going on.

You need USB drivers particular to the phone you're using, Pixel in your case. They'd come from Google I assume.
