Not super impressed with the battery life.

Nova one of lighter launchers out there, I would report it to Nova so they aware, what was it at in battery stats?

It was 10+ in the stats. Never saw that before. I decided to uninstall/reinstall fresh and see how that goes. Will definitely report if it happens again. Thanks!

In most cases that battery drain is caused by widgets going wild in the background and the system wrongly shows that usage under the launcher. You could try removing your widgets and adding them back after a restart.

Am going to uninstall/reinstall fresh and see what happens. Thanks!

Didn't have any issues battery wise with my S21+ until recently. Started following some suggestions I saw here and saw some improvements. There were other issues I had with the Ultra, not just battery. Keeping my fingers crossed S22+ battery works out. Thanks

Different phone but I had a similar drain a few months ago. In my case it always happened when I used this chess app and the culprit was the stock Game Mode, go figure. It stopped after OnePlus updated this app.

Yeah never seen or heard it go that high , ok lets us know.

Also, my phone tends to run warm at times too! I've been reading and a lot are complaining about the S22 line running warm too. Seems people are blaming the new processor on it.

Decided to hold off with Nova until I get S22+. For now on S21+ I am trying out other launchers. Using Microsoft for the past few days. Doesn't have all the bells & whistles that Nova has. It is at the top of my battery stats but doesn't seem as draining as Nova, at least not yet. Will get back to Nova when new phone comes and do the fresh install and see how that works out.

So far, after two days, I can't complain. This AM, I ran the GPS for over two hours walking the dogs at 3-5AM, got onto a phone conversation that started when I was walking using earbuds, very smoothly switched to the Truck's BT connection drove 100 miles to Pocatello and I know in some of those areas it switched out of HD mode (LTE) since it didn't exist. Then in the way home, got into another phone conversation. Surfed the net for about a half hour, and still at 79 percent. Good or bad, it is working OK for me, and pretty sure it will get better with usage.

I've seen a few "warm" cases, as well.

Am I the only one? Now granted it's not terrible since it's 5000mah battery but it seems about the same or slightly worse than my S22 Ultra was.

I'm also using WQHD as well which might factor in it.

I know many will say use power saving modes and don't use WQHD but I paid a lot for these phones like Flossy talks about (he uses max settings) so I'm not about to neuter the display settings on my expensive device.

Do you use 60hz or 120hz? Yes I can tell a difference between the 2 display modes when I go from one to another but it makes 0 difference which one I use in my experience. 120hz is a battery killer so I use 60hz.

Ok see how it works out.

I returned my S22 Ultra. Battery life was miserable plus some other things I didn't like. Back using my S21+ until my S22+ comes. Delayed from Samsung, which I'm not surprised about from what I have read here. One thing I wanted to mention about battery is that Nova is just killing my battery and I don't remember that being the case before. Anyone else seen that? Any suggestions for good launchers that aren't battery killers? Even One UI was not great.

When you say miserable battery life, was that with using 120hz?

No, was 60hz.

Have you run a wi-fi speed test? I have 2 homes and at my home where my work is, I use my neighbours wi-fi. With his permission of course!

At my main home wi-fi runs really well. The phone is very snappy with really good battery life even without the additional power mode I have posted a thread about.

At this other home I noticed lag loading up content and poor battery life. I ran a speed test and it wouldn't even let me run it as it was so bad. This was the same wi-fi I've used for years reliably with my Note 9.

So when I have work again and return to this other house I'll be deleting this wi-fi profile and manually entering it again.

I have both a note20U and a S22U and run them the same, WQHD with 60hz and the battery life is about he same. I really thought with a bigger battery and more "efficient" soc I would get more noticeable battery life savings but it really seems to be the same. I am sure the S22U get better battery life but it seems so minimal like several percent better, if that.

I have not. Thanks for the suggestion. Will take a look.
