Not sure if I can use HMDI like this...help!!!

I have connected my Atrix via HDMI to my LG tv and watched saved media and songs and it comes out great.
My real question is;If I want to conect the phone to the TV and view web pages and youtube on my tv what can I do to get this to happen?

Is this even possible and if so,is there some accessory that I have to buy in order for this to happen?
I dont want to use the webtop fake laptop I just want to view pages at home on my tv instead of the small screen can it be done?

Doesn't the dock do that? There is also a HDMI hack that I thought did that.

Yup. You need the HDMI Multimedia Dock. Get ready to fork out a couple of bucks for it. But if your advanced and you want to get fancy, the webtop hack mod works wonders. But I wouldnt recommend it if your not into Hacking your phone up.

I really wouldn't know cause I'm a noon with the android OS,but at least now I know the dock will resolve that for me.Is that hack you were talking about only good if you're rooted?

I think you do have to be rooted, dont quote me on that though. But its all fairly easy. If you want to stay safe, just get the HDMI dock. Ill get it once the price goes down.

I wouldnt recommend the hack because having that hack done on my phone is what caused me not getting the update. And in order to get the phone back to stock, you have to use ADB with the codes to bring it back to its original configuration. But even then I still had an issue. I had to reflash the sbf file back to the phone to get the update.

Oh I see well thanks for the info.I guess I'll wait a little bit to get the deock too hopefully newer evices coming out will brig the price down,or maybe people selling accessories from returned phones.

What it sounds like you're looking for is mirroring via the HDMI cable to your TV.

There's a mod for that over on XDA. =)

Exactly I want to be able to browse and watch youtube and whole phone menu on a tv like the one at my job this way I don't have to use my pc at work to watch skatevideos
