Not working: Charge optimization - limit to 80%

This feature in the Battery>Battery Health>charge optimization>limit to 80% setting doesn't work. My 8 pro continues to charge to 100%. A reddit poster gave a fix to leave the charger on all night and in many, not all instances, it does seem to reset it to the 80% charge limit, but within a couple weeks, it's back to charging to 100% despite not changing the setting and when viewing the setting, still seeing it set to 80%.

I know that it needs to go to 100% every so often for calibration purposes.

Any 9 pro or 10 pro users having this issue?

Haven't tried on my 9 Pro yet but my Pixel Tablet is having this issue.

See if this article helps
Keep the phone charging to 100 percent when u see the shield on the battery then disconnect it
Do this wired , if you do it wireless wait until the charger disappears , this is for battery calibration
Seems accurate. I've left left my Tablet plugged in after it reached 100% and after an hour or so, I noticed that it's discharging and currently at 97%. The charger and cable that it's hooked up to are enough to keep it charging during use so I'm assuming that were I to leave it, it would continue to discharge to 80% but I wont be able to confirm as I have to unplug it shortly.

This sounds right that it would start discharging after it meets the threshold like I mentioned with the shield or lighting icon depending on wired cable or wireless charging, if you could test this out be great I let mine charge to 100 percent but it's not my daily but does get used I'm talking about my Pixel 10 pro XL which I end up charging every 2 to 3 days .
On my Samsungs and iPhone I have them set at 95 percent which have those options.

My 9 Pro functions as you'd expect, whether it's charging wired or wirelessly. However my Tablet charges to 100% every time. A shield will appear at 80%, it will continue to charge to 100%, and then slowly discharge. I've tested this now multiple times over the last week while using the device. Yesterday, I left the Tablet charging over night as I thought I might be disconecting from the power source prior to the calibration being finalized. No luck. So this is either a bug in GrapheneOS or an upstream bug on the Tablet.

Thanks for your findings, which tablet is this Samsung?

Pixel Tablet running GOS. I'm conducting my final test now. I let it charge to 100% and then played a movie at full bright to bring the charge back down. It's still plugged in and showing steady at 80% with shield. I'm going to leave it like this for a few hours in the hopes that, as unlikely as it is, it's doing some sort of calibration.

Ok let me know but I think it's a calibration thing most likely.
