Note 10.1 2014 - Adjust the height of hand writing area

Hi, newbie here
Just received my note 10.1 2014, 2++ weeks ago. Enjoy everything of it.

wondering is there any way to reduce the height of hand writing area.
Especially when using s Note, wish can view more on the paper in s note.

screen rotate to potrait mode not very suitable for me , due to I need the width of the writing area.
Frequently using s note to take note in meeting and discussion, which long sentences in short time.....
Especially from bosses....
