Note 10 and DEX with Windows computer connection

Has anyone tried using DEX with their Note 10 and Windows laptop? I'm not referring to using DEX with a monitor, I mean a full Windows computer. According to the Youtube video above, only the Note 10 has the ability to do this. I would love for my S9 to have this ability in the future.

Yep it works fine, using DeX in a windows environment is definitely better imo.

Please confirm that by connecting your Note 10 phone to a Windows laptop, your laptop has internet connection through your phone. In other words, you don't need to turn on the Mobile Hotspot function on your phone. Simply pairing your Note 10 to your Windows laptop gives your laptop internet access??

I have and I think it’s great. I don’t have to keep hiking my phone up to look at the notifications, etc.

Used it on windows 7 but it was fuzzy. Not sure if its a windows 7 thing or i had to change a setting on the phone. didn't see anything on the windows-side.

Yeah I tried this on my Windows laptop and it worked great. Not really something I'll use too often because I have an external monitor for my laptop, and I usually just connect my phone to the second HDMI input when I want to use DeX.

Now where this is useful to me is on the Mac, since I have a Macbook at work. The Mac app was a bit finicky, but once I got it working it was pretty stable. This is pretty great because now I can easily check personal email, text messages, etc. while in the office, without having to log into any personal accounts on my work machine.

I did today. And it worked good on the n10. I own a s9 plus and didn't think about trying it. Hmmm. Will try tomorrow if I get time.

Can any of you use laptops keyboard in dex? Touchpad works fine for me but keyboard not at all. I have to turn on phones keyboard to type anything in dex..

Tried it yesterday and my laptop keyboard did work.

I tried to work with it today, not sure if I'm sticking with it. I can think of scenarios where it is useful like whatsapp and telegram. But both of them have a web environment as well.

After some time, the application on windows becomes unstable or sort of sluggish. I had to force quit the program and restart it. Anyhow I have to do some more testing because this is my first experience with it. And maybe it get better over time.
