I see a faint pulsating pixel to the right of the front camera while making a call. I believe it might be the sensor that turns off the screen when you put the phone up to your ear?

It disappears when you put on speaker phone.

Am I the only one seeing this?

Yes I noticed this too while on a call, got nervous at first because I thought it was a screen issue.

Nope I definitely see it. I knew it was there before I got my phone today cause other people were talking about here somewhere the other day.

Thanks, I was worried that my phone was defective. It is definitely a proximity sensor, the screen goes black the second you put you finger near it.

Yep, see it too here. So strange. Sure does look like a defect until I started reading others having the same thing.

I am glad that is what it is. I will not freak out now when I get my Note 10+ next week,

Yeah no worries , it's the same on the s10+ next to the camera. It's the proximity sensor

Just noticed this on mine as well, but it was on in every screen, and I hadn't made a call. Restarted phone and it went away.

It’s not a dead pixel or a defect, it’s a proximity sensor. It behaves like a normal pixel on your phone’s display until you use it (like during phone calls).

What's weird is I hadn't made a call when I noticed it. When I saw it I tried a few different apps and it was there in all of them. Restarted phone and it went away. Then I remembered seeing this thread and came here.
