Note 10 Lite

Why don't they call it the Note 10e, to make the naming consistent?:-\

Samsung, consistent?

Thanks for my daily laugh. The last time they were consistent, cellphones used AMPS (analog), and Samsung didn't make cellphones. But they consistently make ships that float.

Samsung have a crappy way of naming and numbering their devices. I shudder at the purported Galaxy One which supposedly is to be the union of the Note and S lines. Why not call it the Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy Matrix? What will they call their second generation phones? The Galaxy One 2?!

I agree, there are waaaaaaay too many phones that have the word "One" in their names. It's hackneyed and doesn't really mean anything.

Regarding further iterations of a phone called "One," remember HTC's mess of a naming convention? The original HTC One had something like 4 or 5 different versions (One S, One X, One SV, etc.), and then the next generation was the One M7, then One M8, etc., but no regular consumer really knew about the M code. Then there was the HTC One Mini 2.:-\

Phone names are getting quite odd, I agree. But one of the worst recent naming schemes is probably this:

iPhone 7/7 Plus -> iPhone 8/8 Plus -> iPhone X -> iPhone XR -> iPhone XS -> iPhone 11 -> iPhone 11 Pro

What’s with the ‘X’s and skipping the 9?

They went with X (10) because it was the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. Geez, you take every opportunity to bash Apple about something. It's not 2010.

I don’t take every opportunity to bash Apple about something. If you think that’s what I do then fine, but just telling you that you’re wrong. Plus, that doesn’t answer that they went from 10 to 10s instead of 11. LG’s naming scheme is pretty much as bad.

At some point they all going start changing the names up .. nothing to go crazy about just business as usual.

I wouldn't call that Apple bashing. It is an odd naming scheme, and it was confusing as well, since the iPhone X came out at the same time as the iPhone 8. Kind of like how Samsung skipped the Note 6 (but in that case, I think they wanted to align the S and Note series), and how Microsoft skipped Windows 9 (I think they skipped to 10 to be aligned with everyone else?).
