Android Central Question

Hey all, I've already tried communicating to Samsung Support but it's been... garbage. Long story short, I purchased a phone 48 hours ago right before traveling and it's been acting up.

I've tried to reset the cache, restart the phone (multiple times), remove the screen protector, but the glitch happens periodically and doesn't seem to care which app is active.

Basically, for no reason, somewhere close to the fingerprint sensor, it automatically "swipes down" my notifications as I pan around. Sometimes this freezes the entire screen as a result.

It's a little intermittent so the phone remains more or less usable but it has been extremely frustrating.

I loaded google maps and just panned around to show the error here (My finger is only swiping around where the keyboard normally appears)

I have a video but it's flagging the comment as spam...

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have the option for swiping down anywhere to bring down the notification panel turned on? From this article:

"Tap and hold on the home screen, and tap on the icon on the far left titled Home screen settings. Look for Swipe down for notification panel, and toggle it on."
