Note 2: Can send but not receive photo attachments via Straight Talk network

I know almost nothing about phones, but stumbled onto a solution for not being able to download pictures sent to me as an attachment to a text message. First, click "settings," then "more ...," then "mobile networks," then check the box for "data enabled" to "enable data access over Mobile network." Then make sure your WiFi connection is turned off. If I do these things and still can't download a picture attached to a text message, I just turn my phone off and then back on and presto, the picture downloads and appears. I live out in the country and a weak connection to the phone network may be part of my problem. I hope this helps you. I am looking forward to the day when I can fix my phone with my Winchester shotgun.

BUY A NEW SIM CARD!!!!! I recently got StraightTalk service with my BLU phone and was having the same problem: I could send pictures no problem but could not receive them. The photo message would show up as a download box and the download was always unsuccessful. I checked and rechecked and re-entered my APN settings what felt like a million times. Finally I read on another forum that some people had the same problem and fixed it by buying a new SIM. I gave it a shot and am so glad that I did! As soon as I put my new SIM in I was able to receive photos Any photos that had already been sent to me still would not open, but all new messages work just fine. It was an easy $8 fix after hours of driving myself crazy trying to figure out what was wrong.

people ask simple questions looking for an answer - like the people who send photos to email addresses using the phone. they have no trouble sending but the photo is never received. that's pretty straight forward. then some a$$hole has to get technical like google forums, talk over everyones head & respond with some stoopid answer that doesnt answer the question. forums just plain suck lets face it. its the blind leading the blind.
