Note 2 Home Screens

Anyone know why there are only 3 home screens when I thought there was supposed to be 7.

Think you can have up to 7. Not necessarily that it comes with 7 laid out already.

Is there a way to change the spacing between the icons?
My Note had 5 icons x 5 lines but the Note II has 4x4.

I had to go back to Nova Launcher to better customize the home screen.
