Note 2 undesirable swithing off

I have this new galaxy note 2 n7100 that goes into booting mode un-necessarily. This happes when phone is locked and password is inputted to open it. When pw is inputted the phone off itself an displays samsung gslaxy note 2 n7100. If I dont press the on switch this display flashes on and off unitil the on switch is pressed. Is this normal or should I take the phone back to the shop? Does anybody experience this too?
