Gmail Notifications Off and Grayed Out

I have the Pixel Watch 2. All notifications on the watch work as expected - except for Gmail. I have them enabled on the phone but there is no notification on the watch. There is no indicator of a Gmail notification in the watch face widget counter.

If I swipe up, I can see an email has arrived and then open/read it. But that is the only way I know an email has arrived.

On the watch, when I check "Settings - Apps & Notifications - Notifications - Show All - Gmail" ---- The toggle switch is set to Off and it is grayed out. I can't turn it On.

Is this a bug? Or do I not have something configured correctly?

It is that way on my gen1 Pixel Watch as well, however I am getting Gmail notifications. Have you checked the notifications in the Watch app on your phone?

That's interesting.
In the Watch app on my phone (under Notifications):

• Gmail is toggled ON
• Mute Watch Notifications is toggled OFF
• Hide silent notifications is toggled OFF
• All off toggles are OFF

I will add that I have have fully reset the watch, reinstalled apps, etc.
