Did you have to actually upgrade and activate your phone when Rakuten moved you over to Samsung? And can you advise where do you see the 10% new Rakuten discount in the process? Is it at the end of the samsung portion? Thx

No I mine is unlocked non carrier, even though it said Rakuten 10% i only got 3% in the Rakuten account. Some one mentioned earlier that they contacted Rakuten about that and they said it’ll be credited when it ships. I don’t think it’ll and you may have to follow up with them later for the 10%. But they should eventually credit it like they did for S20

Interesting you can pre-order on the app, but not yet on their website. By the way, did you reserve early? I thought you had to wait for their e-mail for the $50 instant credit for reserving early? Did that come up in your order?

Rogers Wireless is already offering both for pre-order but no deals at all.

Ordered mine yesterday, 256g Ultra Mystic Black during the live unpacked show. Went for the free Buds Live.
First Samsung / Note phone. can anybody recommend a good screen protector? or is it not required? Not sure which one to go for due to the curved screen.

I've used liquid glass on my note 10 plus and dropped it on a title floor being careless and thought the protector was only scattered. Boy,was I in for a shock when I found fragments of glass in my finger where it scattered and the phone store told me the screen broke when the liquid screen protector sacrificed itself.

You have to wait till you get your phone. You will have to go to shop Samsung, enter some info that will be on the receipt in the box with your phone. When you do that, you will have to wait for Samsung to approve it and they will email you the gift certificate with the code. Then you can order them from Samsung shop and order the ear buds.

I am as confused as heck trying to figure out best deal if both my husband and I want new 20 Ultras. Currently with VZW but was told it is not a true BOGO rather you have to add a new line to existing line and we would have to pick a new plan to get off our 55+ Loyalty plan. Guess our second phone line could be ported over and then dump the existing second line but what a hassle.

Just chatted wirh TMob and was told they will have a true BOGO but I was really leaning toward buying unlocked directly from Samsung. Never had an unlocked phone but it seems to be free of the bloatware carriers stick on but am curious how voicemail works on unlocked.

Did the Samsung pricing and with discounts all in for my S9+ comes out at $790 before Rakuten rebate...so roughly $700 for me. Hubby will be trading in Note 8 so his new phone will be more expensive.

Just puttin' it out there to see if anyone has ideas to save a few more $$$ or if I have missed something....

Just ordered unlocked black ultra 512 GB direct from Samsung. My first time going unlocked though. I ordered the sim just now through sprints telesales. Hopefully its not a hassle to activate.

Just ordered 128GB Mystic Bronze Note 20 Ultra through Samsung. I used the $200 credit on Bean Buds and Samsung Silicone Case Cover. Total came out to $725 after taxes and trade in of my S10+ plus the student discount on Samsung and 3% Cashback on my CC. August 19/21 cant come soon enough!!!

Wow! Hopefully they get more. I was able to order a Black Ultra with 512GB at about 2PM EDT today. Got in just under the wire I guess.
I was especially glad to be able to order the OtterBox Defender Case with the phone instead of having to use a $1400ish phone until Seidio or Otter or someone made a proper case as I did with the Note 5, 7, 8 and 9! Will be comforted to slap it right in a case.

Ordering from Verizon, if they list it available you're usually good unless Samsung doesn't give them their supply for some reason. I ordered half hour after pre-order started. I suspected there would be shortages due to covid, specially on the 512 models, so I dragged my butt out of bed to order.

Whatever you do, don't go by best buys availability online.. They just keep selling them regardless of what they have available.

No it’s more like they know not many people will buy 512 GB so probably had like some 3 of them for sale. Same thing happened with S20 ultra 512 GB versions.
