Note 20 Ultra pre-order thread!

I'd say that the audience here for the most part is the outlier in a sense. Presumably we are all enthusiasts or get hyped up about a phone enough that we go on and preorder them. I think for a good portion of the population, they aren't going to be spec peeping the way that we do and will simply go into a store and say, ohhh this looks nice and it works better than what i'm using now and purchase it.

I get the frustration with Samsung over the specs of the Note 20, but yelling that it's stupid is yelling at the people who bought it, or are considering it.

I have a Note 10. I like it but the weight & the width sometimes bothers my hand--I'm a massage therapist with hand/wrist injuries.

I'm considering the smaller Note 20 for 4 reasons.
1) I only paid $300 + Pixel 2 trade-in--I can get $700 in trade for it from Samsung.
2) I really want the new earbuds because I can't wear in-ear buds--all are uncomfortable & all fall out of my ears, regardless of earth's. I really like the open design of the new ones for this reason. And with the freebie promo, these would be free.
3) While I hate the fact that the cut in half the default storage amount, I'm only using 68 GB. I would happily trade the difference in storage for a much bigger battery. -- I've been underwhelmed my the battery life on my Note 10.
4) Ergonomics, as I've mentioned above.

I hate many of the Ultra things left out of the smaller Note 20, but deciding to buy or not, should be each person's choice.

Well, I just kinda like the avatar, but I was harassed in this forum about 3 years ago. I immediately reached out and asked for the issue to be addressed–It wasn't.

That's why I'm not often here, except when I'm considering a new phone. It was really bad.

I ordered the mystic bronze 128 gb unlocked and my cancel button is gone but I did try to cancel and received my 10% off option after selecting "cancel+ better price found + other" and an email confirmation of the discount with a "thank you for not canceling". I'm in Kansas.

If you got it for $300, then you definitely got more than a $300 phone so you can't beat that.

The Note 20 is a bit of a head scratcher though.

I want to defend it and say for $1k it's the same price as the smallest S20. But if you compare the specs between the two and you see what Samsung put into the S20 for 1K and you add the pluses of the Note 20... bigger screen, bigger battery, S-Pen but how much they took out for the Note 20 to get to that 1K... no MicroSD, no QHD.

Flat display and the glasstic back but awesome matte finish are a couple of features that's subjective if it's a plus or minus. When you add the plus' and minus' that's where people are questioning if it makes sense... maybe they took a little too much.

It's cool that they made the Ultra $100 lower than the S20U cause that is just a ridonkulous price that wasn't even fully sorted out at launch with the camera issue and took 3-4 months to resolve. Gosh I hope the N20U won't be like that. But maybe they should have made the regular Note 20 $100 more and spent a little more to upgrade like add the Micro SD or have made the panel QHD.

But this is all forum and internet talk.

On it's own merits, that phone should be a great phone to use. Another poster here said the display is more vivid and brighter than the N20U and you get an S-Pen and it's gonna perform with the best with the processor. And for $300.

My LTE version changed from the 21st to September 1st this morning. Looks like there was a delay in the receipt of the LTE versions. The Black ones at least.

Thank you. I think this was before Mustang7757 was a moderator. I know he would have taken care of it immediately. The fact that nobody else was willing to has left a really bad taste in my mouth ever since.

I was reading a article about why Samsung priced the regular Note 20 $1000.00
They mentioned if they would placed at a lower price point it could of sold more units then the Ultra and didn't want that to happen
