Probably a repeat...:
1) Samsung Note 10.1 2014 battery goes from 100% to 1% in less than an hour when reading websites. Downloading a movie doesn't even eat up my battery that bad. Plug it in to charge and goes back to 100% within 30 minutes.

2) Additionally, tried a new battery (supposedly new from ebay) and when installed the tablet doesn't get past the first 'powering on' screen. Re-install old battery and I'm fine (as to starting up anyways).

Anyone encounter either/both of these?

1. When the battery drops to 1%, turn the tab off, wait about 30 minutes, then turn it on. Is it still at 1%? (If it's back to a reasonable level, you have a battery throwing a dendrite. It's a fact of life with lithium batteries (see Lithium Battery Dendrite links) and there's no solution for it yet.

2. Did you charge the "new" bttery for at least 6 hours before turning the tab on? If not, try that. If it doesn't work then, ask for a refund - the battery is dead out of the box.

1) Battery's capacity fluctuation, this is a sign of loose battery connector. Inspect it under magnified glass to see if there is any cracks; it requires experiences. If you don't know, ask someone has experiences in re work to re solder the battery connector.
Quick test: slap on the back cover, near the center, with your hand. A tablet with badly loose battery connector will shut down immediately.
2) Samsung tablet won't be able to boot if battery is low and make sure your USB charging port is in good working condition.

I have the same problem with mine going from 100% to 1% within minutes and the screen getting very dim. I can continue to use it for normal amount of time. I have left it unplugged for nearly two days on 1%. I then plugged it up because i needed to use it and didn't want it to turn off. It is very hard to use with the screen so dim. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.
