It's first to Samsung phone , while I believe only Apple has this technology.

Apple has it on the 11's, but have they started using the technology yet? I know they talked about it for iOS 14. Guessing that's when they will start taking advantage of it.

Technically yes they are using it on all latest model apple products. The W chip is used for example to pair the airpods to an iPad or iPhone. It's using UWB for that.
They just aren't using those digital coins or keys yet for lost Devices.
Also UWB is used with your apple watch and to unlock a MAC laptop if you've got a later model.
