Note 3 file system has some kind of corruption

Out of the blue the phone has deleted folders and some files from where they belong. Appears to be related to the internal memory, not the SD card. Example, Gallery had about 6 folers originally. Camera (on Sd card), camera (internal), Downloads, My Compass, Spy Camera Capture , etc. Suddenly only the Camera folder (on SD card) is there. In my voice recorder only voice-mail is in there (?) but no voice messages I recorded. In 'Tune In' no recordings I made are there. Now the weird thing is I have been able to find most of the missing files using a file Explorer. What happened, anyone experience this?

Maybe an app or something created a .nomedia file in the folders that don't show up in your gallery. While in "My Files" or your file explorer, go to settings and select to show hidden files. Look in the folders that don't show up in the gallery and see If there's a .nomedia file there... if so, delete the .nomedia file.
