I'm a film maker and I love my Nokia Pureview 808 as well as my Canon 7d.

I bought the note 3 because there was the ability to record in 4k and it's also one of the cheapest camera with 4k recording capability.

The moment I tried the camera on the phone, I was disappointed or until someone finds me a solution fix with the note 3.

My dislikes on the default camera app is

1. Autofocus is always on. Is there a way to turn it off?
2. Auto ISO and exposure. I prefer a fixed full control for this.
3. It shoots in 30fps. Does a 24fps exist?
4. No adjustment control over saturation or contrast. Must have as the camera produce over saturated and contrast in the images.

My likes about the camera app is

1. Can record in 4k and 1080p
2. Can record in 120fps or 60fps for smooth slow motion

Is there a third party camera app that fixes these issues?

Please me know. Thanks.

I'm sorry, but I just can't seem to grasp the whole 'making films with phones' thing... Don't feel offended, please, it's just not something I find appealing.

That being said, you could try other Camera Apps that offer better manual controls . As for your concerns in the stock camera app:
1) No, you can't turn AutoFocus off, just where it centers on.
2) You can have manual controls of this but your have to use a different camera mode than AUTO.
3)A 24fps DOES exist, but not in the settings. There's a CINEMA filter (built in) that will record in 24fps. However, it also applies a slight tint effect to your shots.
4)No manual controls here, either. You could apply different effects, but that's about it.

It can do all the things!

Start recording first then tap screen to focus on something. Viola, autofocus off, focus locked.

Now, turn smart stabilization OFF in camera settings. Now you have manual control of ISO.

In video settings you also have exposure level setting.

And yes 24P is in a faded filter available in 1080P view, press ^ arrow at bottom of view

Thank you for the tips on autofocus and the manual control of ISO.

As for the 24p faded filter, it seems laggy to me.

That's a shame. Ive heard from 1 other person about the lag in 24p. It's not conventional I guess. With more filters coming out in the store, there's bound to be one with true 24p or an app soon. I heard FilMic pro is coming to Android as well.
Try igCamera app in the play store. It's the best so far. You can change fps and bit rate but only to 1080p. Hasn't been updated for 4K.
