Before the announcement of the phone I heard a lot of rumors about flexible glass and such. After the announcement I am no longer hearing anything about the glass. So is it flexible? Is it Gorilla Glass? If so is it GG 2 or GG 3? Anyone know?

I read on one of the sites that it is Gorilla glass 3.

Is the Note 3 really going to have Gorilla Glass 3? I haven't heard anything about this besides that very weak link posted above. I have heard the Galaxy Gear smartwatch is using a sapphire glass. I wonder if the Note 3 is using this same glass?

The S4 has GG3 so I reckon the Note 3 will follow suit. If it had a slightly flexible display I think they would have shouted about it more.

I found no mention of Gorilla Glass in the manual so they don't bother to say, but given past devices Samsung doesn't regress on their designs or materials used.

Here is an article that says that the Galaxy Note 3 does have Gorilla Glass.
The Galaxy Note 3 is a well-built smartphone that won’t require a case. It employs Gorilla Glass on the front which means that the screen isn’t going to crack or get scratched without a whole lot of effort. That said, our advice is to buy the phone and the phone only. There’s no sense buying a whole bunch of extra stuff if there is a possibility that it could be returned in a few days.

Shame they didn't go with the sapphire but it would have bumped the price up quite a bit

Do a youtube search on gorilla glass. They make flexible glass as well. They don't just make standard smartphone screens like a lot of people think

GG3 is great, and a step up but its still not impervious to scratches, a screen protector is always cheaper than replacing your screen.

I think Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is not using Gorilla Glass 3, or any Gorilla Glass.

Corning Gorilla Official site until now never mention it is
http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/product...gorilla/samsung

And GSMArena site never put what kind of protection it is.

If Note 3 is Gorilla Glass, the site shall updates already, as even Nokia 1020, LG G2 already get mention but not the Note 3. This quite assure Note 3 is not using it.

Can anyone else chime in on this, I asked the Verizon dude but he said he honestly had no idea...Some came with it and some didnt....definitely wasn't the answer that I was looking for

I'm thinking if Samsung doesn't mention it and Corning doesn't mention it, it doesn't use Gorilla Glass.

There are times neither company will list it for one reason or another. Not saying that's the case here but Corning did have fine print stating this a while back.

xda claims it usss Gorilla Glass 3 which is a reliable source.

I asked a Samsung rep at Best Buy if the Note 3 screen is made of Gorilla Glass. He told me it is made of Gorilla Glass, and that he does not use a screen protector on his Note 3.
