Note 3 or Lgg2. . . I know not again

I mean 5"+ HD screen, Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2gb RAM, 3000+ mAh battery. Does moto make that?

4.7 HD screen is good enough. I would like to see a better SoC but it would decrease battery life. X has 2GB of RAM. 3000 mAh battery would mean the phone would have to be huge.

No, it's not. It's lighter and cleaner. Touchwiz is a colorful explosion of cartoonism.

This is not meant to be an insult to you... Rather it's a juxtaposition of how different folks see things. As the long ago owner of the original 1969 Camaro RS, I find the one in your Avitar to meet the definition of an "explosion of cartoonism". I guess it's all in how you see things.

My car's not a cartoon!! It's a Transformer!! Whitey Bee

The G2 has a 5.2 screen and 3000 mAh battery but its not huge. It has a snapdragon 800 but also has unbelievable battery life! If moto would replicate the G2 in Motorola style I'd buy it.

It's not huge but it's too big for one handed use. I have an S4 and I can do MOST things one handed but if I need to touch something in the top left cornet I have to move my hand and then reach over to it. If I'm laying in bed and want to use my phone I need to use both hands to hold it so it won't fall on my face. Not an issue when I try it on my sister's iPhone 5. Something smaller would be nice. 4.7 is the smallest I'd go and 5.2 would be the biggest but that would be pushing it a little too much.

Simple, simple, simple.

#1 priority for most of us N3 owners is the S-Pen. I'm thrilled that my two other highly desirable elements are there too; the removable battery and the SD card slot.

If the Note line was never released and the today's N3 was called the Tab 3 things would be different for me. If I had a choice between a Tab 3 and an LG G2 with a WACOM pressure sensitive stylus (all other things being equal) I'd choose the LG G2.

It really is so simple. If the N3 is as it is today and the LG G2 had a similar stylus I'd still choose the N3 due to the removable battery and SD slot. As long as Samsung keeps the S-Pen/changeable battery and SD slot, it will be a no-brainer for me to only consider them... unless of course another manufacturer applies the same "must haves".

I have the note 3 since launch and love it. I am sure if you ask the same question in the LG forum they will tell you the same thing. This is a decision you have to make by playing with both phones.

I like that s voice can be set up to work just like moto x. Responds with lock screen on. Open an app or set navigation , call someone all without touching the phone.
That along with the s pen you can keep your screen smudge free.
Also the I R blaster comes with a program guide. So it shows you what's on at anytime of the day. Click on what show you like and the channel changes to that program.

It doesn't respond like the Moto X. It gives you search results but no feedback

THANK you. What you said supports my assertion that it is NOT Touchwiz UI that eats up the extra GB of RAM. It's the multitasking that uses these resources, not the UI. If the G2 had an active PS stylus and all of its fuctionality, GG capabilities, and other functions the GN3 is capable of, it would not survive on 2GB of RAM, regardless of the UI.

You realize TouchWiz is a ROM and not a UI, right?

I don't know what you mean by no feedback. When you say " hi galaxy" and ask a question it will give an audible response. It may not be as good or full featured but it works well for me.
And it can be set to listen even with lock screen.

Are you serious? I've already said several times that if you go and use a Note 3 (or other new Samsung device) yourself, you'll see that that's true.

The demo I saw had no audible response when the phone was off, and it took a lot longer to show search results than the X

The ability to listen and respond is not a default function. Like I said this function has to be enabled.
Response time may vary also depending on signal connection and wifi settings. Note 3 needs some settings tweeted as some have said in other threads.

This was not meant as a direct comparison to moto x either. I was only stating some of the cool things that I liked about n3 that made me choose it over the LG G2.

I had a Note 3 for one week, returned and got the G2. IMO the G2 is a better device. The Note is very nice and if it were not for the G2 it would be my current phone. I prefer the buttonless experience of the G2 to that old school physical home button on the Note 3.

Was the home button the game changer???

Mainly the button, also the cheap plastic chrome trim. I loved the screen and back through.

Cool. We really have to go by what is good for us.. What is good for you might be so-so for me, and visa versa... Not putting up the Note 3, but almost everybody that has a Note 3 or any high end smart phone puts a cover on it...That back could be gold plated, and I wouldn't know it.. However, the removable battery, micro sd support, and S Pen, for my use, put the Note 3 way, way, way out in front. Again, just like cars, motorcycles, and women, we all have different tastes, and we all be correct in our choices!!
