Note 3: What are people actually using the S Pen for?

I use the s pen to color like a coloring book. I first get a coloring page for grownups online then put that into the galaxy app then I start coloring it in. I love to draw and color. Afterwards, I send it to my email to print it :)

In Action Memo can you convert more than one line in to a single Task.
If someone knows if this is do-able could you take a bus over to this other thread if you haven't seen it.
Thanks.

Well you can create a new category - there are 2 layouts to choose from - and either copy or move pages into that category. When you open the category you will see all the pages you moved there and if you click on one you can swipe back and forth to the others.

And depending what your objective is you can also use S-note and import as many scrapbook pictures as you like onto either the same page or separate pages.

Yeah but there is no way to just keep adding content to the same page while u use the air commands for scrap book repeatedly right?

For example, if I see a news item that extends for two pages on the phone, I can't save stuff from the second page of the news item on the same scrap book page as the first one by using the air command right?

Does anyone know if there is a way to have s pen only mode in the action memo?

What exactly do you write to get it to enter as a calendar appointment? I tried it a couple ways and don't see it in my calendar.

You can open an "Action Memo" to write down an appointment, then use the lasso (3rd icon over) to circle it, then on the pop up window select the icon on far right (looks like a check list) and what you wrote will be entered in as a calendar appointment.

Yesterday I was reading over some notes that I had previously taken with my S-Pen on my Note3 (priceless). I'm not sure I will ever be able to go back to a "regular" smartphone again. I am seriously SPOILED....SMILE

Using the S-pen is awesome. Any chance I could use it to input text I did. But the reality if it is that it is easier and faster to use the gesture typing or typing with thumbs for me. But I still preferred to use it for some reason. I was having a problem with the S-pen where it would capitalize the first letter of a word at random.

So, why wouldn't you just go with the Galaxy S5 then if you don't use the s-pen?

So when people say they use the S-Pen, do they keep the handwritten text, or convert it to type.
I have tried yet again recently, and its still a pfaff to convert my left hand writing, try as I might to make my writing as clear and simplistic as possible. I understand most of the correction gestures, but even they don't work. So it takes twice as long. It's not learning my style.
Keyboard it is.

I doubt I'll use the S Pen much on my Note 3...I'll try to make use of it. I didn't buy the end Note 3 for the SPen but it's not an irrelevant feature me thinks.

Hi5 to the sV

It wasn't a primary reason for me to get a Note 3, but having it I've found that putting in a little effort to learn it's functions it's been quite useful. Many good suggestions on this tread. Even just clicking small links on a webpage can be helpful.

It should appear in S-Planner if you tap the lasso icon, circle it and tap the calendar icon. You enter the date afterwards.
Though as Dgprakash found, it can only handle one line of text.

I'm not left handed (though I do everything with my left bar writing - side note, lol) but my writing is atrocious ...I think we went through this once before comparing handwriting haha.

So, generally I don't use the pen for writing to text BUT I use it a lot for note taking, and also for collecting people's info (handing them the phone and have them write on action memo).

When I've used the writing to text (much like voice to text) what it thinks I've written ...is not what I actually wrote!

I think this is mostly down to the way I write though, people have said it's worse than doctor writing, rather than a fault of the phone.
