Note 4 Best Buy Extending $200 Trade in Promotion Past Pre-orders

Sams was $267 for Sprint contract price. Not sure of other prices.

I didn't really think about whether Sams takes tradeins, since you could not preorder at Sams anyways, which kills that option. I would think somewhere other than Best Buy would take tradeins, and perhaps there's some price match combo out there.

I'm mostly annoyed that the Best Buy here didn't get in enough Note 4's for the preorders, and then sold what they had to new customers rather than actually fill any preorders (they had one to sell me until I mentioned my preorder - then suddenly that one was for new customers and they'd tell me if mine came in). I will probably have to keep checking the Best Buys that are further from me to find one at a store I didn't preorder at and get that instead... if one comes in, and if the preorder didn't lock my number up in any way. I hate Best Buy so much at this point - they've never seemed very good, but this has been such a mess. With the preorder requirement though, you're pretty much stuck with Best Buy or the carriers.

Both the Best Buys in my town are sold out for AT&T. I tried to pre-order on the last day for their pre-order promo but there were no white ones available. I'm really glad they have another $200 gift card offer going now. I think as soon as it's back in stock I'm going to jump.

That's ridiculous. Have you called the corporate line to complain?

They clearly don't care. I wouldn't be surprised if it was encouraged. They say its 'against policy' but it's more sales, and it seems like many of the stores are doing that. Their facebook and forums are full of complaints of other stores doing the same thing. I haven't actually seen a corporate number that goes to anything where I can actually leave a complaint, but I've tried to complain where I can, much like many other people.
