Note 4 Lollipop 5.0

I just read this morning (think it was in AC) that the VR Gear is making its way to 100 Best Buy Stores throughout the US...IDK, hopefully that means the issue with that & the N4 has been solved??

As far as Lollipop goes, seems like there's an aweful lot of unhappy S5 campers out there. Although, I'm sure they're just as many (or more) without any major issues.
Just curious...does everyone update right away when a major update like this comes out or are there any users who wait a while for any initial issues to get worked out???

I have a verizon s5 and the update brings me a better battery life, the phone is much snappier, and no issue whatsoever.

When is the Note 4 getting Lollipop? Should I update? I've heard S5 users are having lots of questions, hope it's not like KitKat to Note 3, everyone hated that.

You have to wait until Lollipop is out for the Note 3 first. Samsung is releasing for the Note 3 first, then the Note 4.

I'm on a new Nexus 6 now. Bought because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and speak from a less ignorant position (always good). Maaaaaan. So far I am not impressed by Lollipop (yet this IS nice hardware). What is all the fuss about? Here's what I've noticed in my first couple of hours.

Nova doesn't seem to work right with my phone and I can't port any of my Nova icon layouts (that took a lot of time to create). So, since I have to start over I'm giving Next Launcher a whirl because I do not care for stock android (don't care for the stock icons or stock font, in particular). The difference in menu look is just different and I can get used to it.

I just don't see why anyone is clamoring to get on Lollipop. Based on what I can see right in front of me I don't see what the big deal is. Kit Kat is, just like I'd thought, just fine...for me anyways. I'm gonna HAVE to root this device just so I can have a different font. I hope WugFresh has something for me.

I don't get why people clamor over updates in general .....if my phone or tablet works it's not s big deal if it gets 5.9 or 6.0 or whatever asap . Yeah it would be nice to have but I'm happy with android 4.4.4 on my note 4

I heard that Samsung is going to wait until Android 6.0 comes out before releasing anything for the Note 4. In the meantime they are focusing on fixing the bugs in 4.4.4 and getting the VR issues working before they do any more work on the next OS.

So I can't say that I am anxious to see Lollypop. Just no need. But since I am on VZW by the time we get Lollypop, Samsung will likely have had a year to work out the bugs. VZW is not too "snappy" regarding updates as we all know.

Umm what ? The Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 was the first s5 to get the update in the states

You would think that the partnering agreement between Oculus and Samsung on the VR includes wording about Samsung not breaking compatibility with any s/w updates. The two companies seem pretty serious about the relationship and Oculus would be crazy not have it in the contract.
