Note 4 slow months after use?

Hi guys, I've owned both the s5 (loved it) and now the Note 4. When I first got the Note 4 it seemed just a little slower than my s5. Now, months later, it is a lot slower. The same task (both running 4.4.4) takes so much longer on the Note 4. Switching apps, opening the same apps, scrolling, really anything and everything is faster on the s5. I wish I could go back to the s5 but my s5 is a verizon unit and I'm on att now. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm going to try wiping the Note 4 tomorrow, maybe a fresh start will make things run more smoothly. To be honest, I'm very disappointed. I expected so much more from the Note line, as I loved my Note 3. I guess if the Note 4 doesn't improve I'll sell it...

You can also try with clean master. You can find it on google play. It helped me a bit on my note 2. It deletes a lot of mess on your phone

I'll try this as well. The cache partition wipe suggested by B.Diddy seemed to help a little. Just kind of surprised how disappointed I am in this phone. Even the fingerprint scanner feels faster on my old s5.

I think it's the whole touch whiz. I bet the note 4 will be a monster with a custom rom (but I'm not going there yet)

I got mine the day it launched and it is just as fast now as it was then. Touchwiz is no longer a bad OS.

Same here. Mine still runs as well as day one three months later. Sounds like the OP needs to do a master factory reset to ensure the phone is at a known clean state. Then add a few apps slowly to ensure one isn't causing the slowness. Otherwise the most I do is a monthly cache partition wipe just to ensure peak performance.

Same here. Mine still runs as well as day one three months later. Sounds like the OP needs to do a master factory reset to ensure the phone is at a known clean state. It's just weird. I've never had this problem before, at least not with my Samsung phones. I loved my S5 and Note 3. They were great. I'll try wiping the Note and report back.
