Note 4 to Nexus 6, am I crazy?

Yes you are crazy. I ditched the Nexus five for my note 4 and I will never look back to a Nexus device again. The frequent updates from Google and stock android are extremely overrated in my opinion . Stock android is extremely boring and lacking in functionality

I agree.. I was a Nexus fanatic for a few years and bought them as soon as they were released. I grew tired of the plain launcher and limited functionality.

The only real bonuses are fast updates and no bloat.

After using the Note 4 I don't think I can live without its multi tasking abilities. Sure the Note 4 has some bloat and yes the Nexus will get updates months before the Note but I am no longer willing to give up features for those perks..

If you don't need the multi window, fingerprint scanner (which is a joy to use with Lastpass), SPen, microSD, and removable battery, and you hate TW, try out the Nexus. All of those things (except TW) are important to me, so I'll be using a Note of some type until something better comes along, or Google adds those features to stock android.

IrishFXDB--BEST RESPONSE EVER!!!!!!! I mean I NEVER EVER bother respond to these threads, I just troll. But I've formulated your EXACT argument a million times in my own head..my favorite quote out there is, "no SD card, no swappable battery, no sale"..LOL that so cracks me up. Just give me a piece a crap phone as long as I can put my own SD card in it. As battery lives get longer the swappable battery thing is silly. Unless you are world traveler and take flights that last for 12 hours WHO CARES?? And even if you are, there are a bazzillion charge packs out there that will serve that purpose if necessary. In that regard the Nexus 6, which I own now, charges up to 75% in 15 minutes from being down below 15%. It isn't a gimmick it actually works. The screen is something to behold. And yes the Note 4 has more ppi but that is because the screen dimensions are SMALLER, the specs under the hood are identical. I just came from the Note 3. I had no complaints accept for Samsung's crapware. But even then, disabled, ignored, voila--it's all good. NEVER EVER used the pen. I took it out of the holster ONCE.a
So here is the deal...if you want a phone to be a work productivity tool (which I do all the time SAID NO ONE EVER), then Note 4 is your thing. If you want it for browsing, texting, listening to your tunes,youtube--oh and making phone calls, then drop the Samsung unnecessary bloat and get the N6.

1. Some do care about a spare battery -- it is more useful than plugging into a pack as you say...
2. Actually a lot of people say they want more productivity out of the phone .. and that is why Samsung has made those features with the pen. Just because you don't use em .. doesn't mean others feel the same way :).
3. Some may want Samsung versus the N6 with all the reported problems .. Or they simply like Samsung. Who knows?

Wanted to see people's thoughts.

Had my Note 4. For 9 days now. Love it but it's not wowing me like I thought. I did come from a Note 3 however.

Touchwiz is much better than note 3. But I'm with AT&T, and their bloatware, with Touchwiz is ridiculous

I'm reading alot of good things with the Nexus 6, including huge QHD screen, pure Android experience and Lollipop

Downsides to Nexus 6 is no SD slot and cannot exchange the battery.

I'm torn. Not sure if I should try the nexus 6 or not. I hate losing the SD card because I have a ton of music and pics on my 128 gb microSD card

What are your thoughts. Anyone else curious about the nexus 6 or even considering pre-ordering it?

Go for the Mate 9 if you can afford it
