I have a galaxy tab 4 and I put Nova launcher and so far I like it. I just heard about all lag touchwiz causes but I doubt that it will on such a fast phone. Thanks for the feedback!

My S5 Active has some lag. It's not really bad lag but it's a little slower around the corners than my M8. I think it really comes down to personality. The lag is minimal and people who are not OCD won't be as bothered by it as those of us who are. That's why I venture to say the lag isn't even perceived by many. That being said I still pre-ordered the N4. I'll just root it and remove as much clutter as possible.

No issues with TouchWiz. Like others have said, install Nova and enjoy the rest of the features Samsung added. IMO, the multi-tasking and SPen features are an incredible benefit over stock Android. After using a Note 2 for 2 years, I no longer consider any phones that don't have these two features (and the larger screen).

The whole touch wiz is way over blown there a reason why Sammy sales millions more phone then any one else enough said let the haters hate

I have never had an issue with touchwiz lag, but dislike the appearance and some apps that I won't use. However there is Apex launcher which I will use and root to do everything else.

I use Apex launcher on my Note 2 but it looks as if Touch Wiz has come a long way since the "olden days". For an example of Touch Wiz on the Note 4 watch the following video as the reviewer demonstrates the features of the phone and the Touch Wiz launcher:

I'm in the process of getting my fiancee's sisters, and my oldest brother to experience transcendence by switching to the light side (from iphones, got my father to leave ip4 for an S5 haha). But so far its proving to be a challenge lol.

I believe there is a way to speed up the animations so things are instant(well, android instant); maybe someone here remembers the video. You can also download a launcher to cover the mess up if you want like others have stated. Have fun with your new phone!
