Note 4 vs Nexus 6

Build quality is subjective. Both are rock solid.

N6's most obvious advantage is software. Pure Android L is a huge advantage that the N6 will always have over the Note 4. And of course the front facing speakers are nice on the N6.

But it's pretty obvious that the Note 4 has advantages in display, camera, battery life. Because of this, I decided to keep my Note 4 and sell my N6. Don't get me wrong, I still feel the N6 is a great device and definitely understand why people would buy it.
See I feel that the Note 4 has an advantage in the software department as well. Android 5.0 may be a bit snappier and that's about it. Touch Wiz has more features. And then it has more hardware features as well.

Nothing but Note! A little rim, some backboard, but mostly Note!

Check out the fit and finish of both devices and tell me with a straight face that the Note 4 is not a joke with its *pleather* back and "beardgate" gaps. It feels and looks cheap next to the craftsmanship of the Nexus 6 that is built like a fine swiss watch.

The Nexus 6 will launch "OK Google" without touching it while the screen is off by always listening for your voice!

Oh, screen literally off, my bad. I know the Nexus 6 has the extra voice processor for that but for some reason j thought people were referring to the phone just being locked. That said, this isn't really a deal breaking feature for probably 98% of the users out there.

I love the concept of the Nexus 6 way, way more than the Note 4, but I can't jump in right now with the reports of terrible battery life and performance issues due to the encryption. Those two things are enough to make me stick with the Note 4 despite how much I hate Touchwiz and Samsung bloat. I'm watching closely for software tweaks that improve the situation, however, and if they happen I'll drop the Note 4 in a heartbeat.

But I have. And I have also owned the iPhone 6 Plus and still chose the Note 4. I love the way the Note 4 looks and feels. It's one of the reasons I chose it over other devices.

You still didn't answer my questions. Why do you think these things?

If you've not notice, this guy already made up his mind about which phone has the best build quality. Don't bother asking him for explanation because you won't get anything else from him apart from this same line of thought and argument...

I doubt he had ever held a note 4 though.

I can't speak on the build quality of the nexus since I don't have one but for me the build quality can only be subjectively seen.

Wait until the Note 4 gets Lollipop :-(

Note's screen is quite a bit better than the Nexus
This was the most disappointing first impression I had when I finally saw the N6. Sorta expecting it after reading the AT review, so I'm really curious how it compares to the Note 4 in bright sunlight.

Most things leaning toward the Note 4.... except the software. I tend to heavily favor stock for updates, but TW does have one handed mode (multi-window and split screen don't entirely appeal to me). Battery life.. I could accept on the N6. N6 would also be ~$150 cheaper (would need Qi back).

He doesn't own either phone. Enough said.

I have note 4 and I also ordered nexus 6
Note 4 can change battery and have micro SD card and have better display

Nexus 6 can always get the latest update and is certainly the fastest device

The Nexus 6 screen will blind you at 100% - I would highly advise you to stop if you are staring at the screen above 75% brightness. Is the Note 4 screen brighter - yes - but who cares unless you are going to use it as a flashlight.

Nexus 6 sceen disapointing? Pffft!

Build Quality is not subjective - preference of style is - please don't confuse style with build quality.

Overall, no bias included, I think the Note 4 is the better phone. I just don't like it better than the Nexus. I have a lot of issues with the Nexus 6, but I just enjoy pure Android so much that I put up with them. It outweighs the negatives for me. The Note 4 is just an amazing device that anyone not adversed to Touchwiz would love.

Nexus 6 has 9.3% bigger screen(in approximately same form factor), always listening ambient display with cooler notifications, awesome sounding stereo speakers, far better build quality and best in class cell radios (Motorola invented the cell radio! are highly regarded as the best), etc.

Camera, display, and battery life are close enough not to matter.

Own either phone and have any real experience with these devices and I'm sure someone will take you seriously.

If you keep ragging on the Note 4, Richard Yarrell is going to find you and...

I have 12 lines for my home and business, so I have access to all 3 AT&T flagships right now. The Edge is my personal phone but a Note 4 is being used by my wife and we bought a pair of Nexus 6's for office use. I honestly haven't had enough time with them yet to make an informed opinion. I am happy with my Edge, but will be taking the N6 for a test ride.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't stand the way the Note looks. I've had an S4 for the past couple years, so maybe I'm "bored" with Samsung's style. The metal felt great, it's just hideous to me. Same with the Turbo.

You have to actually see your phone in order to use it, and I don't want to see that every time I'm on my phone lol. It's like driving a smart car with a corvette engine. In my (most likely unpopular) opinion.

I have spent hours with both and the same day it is available on Verizon, the Nexus 6 will be mine!

I never really wanted the Note 4 because I like stock Android, so I used a Nexus 7 and Moto X Developer Edition on Verizon.

Now that I've been testing the Nexus 6 on Big Red, it's fantastic.

When you do buy one, you won't be disappointed.
