I have a Note 5 with AT&T. I've had the phone now for about five months and haven't had any issues with it, but this morning when I got up I found the phone was dead. I know when I went to bed it had about 60% juice so I was kind of surprised. Had to plug the charger in and then I wiped the cache partition and rebooted. I have the latest version of Marshmallow (6.0.1) and a couple days ago it said it had another system update.

I may try a tip I found while researching this odd issue; someone said to boot into safe mode before going to bed and see what happens in the morning. May be an app or something that caused the battery drain.

Here's a pic of my Battery screen. You can see the big spike drop to 0 (this was before I put it on the charger).

Anyone else experience this sudden bizarre battery drain just overnight?

When you go to bed, do you turn off wifi, Internet, and auto sync, also lower acreen brightness? Might be good idea to even put into battery save mode.

Did you add or change anything in your phone recently. Cause 9 times out of 10, it was something that was changed. Think hard, it may have been something real simple.

It had to be something, because it hasn't happened again. I just don't know what it was. Or perhaps it's just old age memory and the battery was low when I went to bed, lol.
