I think its unrealistic to expect your phone to hold 100% after 2 1/2 hours, I have never heard of any android phone doing that, dont know what black magic Ruben is using on his battery lol. Even when I sleep at night I get like 3-4% drain over a period of 7-8 hours

I forgot to take screen shot after 2 hrs on 100% but heres 2 hrs at 99%

It depends.. First your new or newly reset Note will take a few days to settle in.

Set it up run it, don't check the battery all day see how you do that day.

Remember when it shows you how much time you have left, it is based on the previous seven days of use. It is a guesstimate.

8 minutes of active use, not standby?

Extrapolate that 8 min / 1% out for the full life of the battery and you'd have 800 minutes for 100% of battery usage, or just over 13 hours.

In my opinion, people are worrying wayyyy too much about their battery usage. As Kelly said, every person will have varied results depending on a whole list of factors.

I've had days where I had to charge halfway through the day... I posted earlier in this thread showing over 9 hours of screen on time with something like 17 or 18% battery remaining... the other day I had over 11 hours of screen time and still had 30% battery.

Signal strength, what you're using it for, brightness, wifi, bluetooth, location, etc etc etc. Everyone's results will vary.

GSam battery app can still give an unrooted phone a good idea of what is using the battery.

It will also tell you his much percent of battery is being used per hour.

You can't compare many phones with lg g2 because the way it reports the battery usage. Mine used to drop from 100 to 99 after 30-35 minutes of internet browsing and once I hit 97% the battery was draining like crazy. The max sot I could get with my lg g2 was 7.5hr with airplane mode enabled for 1-2 (in subway using kindle).
I personally have edge plus but my wife and sister in law have note 5. The way Samsung reports battery drain is more accurate than the way lg g2 did.

Good point leggy. Now that i think about it the g2 dod drain fast after that point of 30 min. Esepcially after a year or when i switched phones

Never had pocket casts drain so much for the couple years I've used it. Just listening to audio pods like everyother day. Been draining the last few days.

After months of various changes and attempts to settle my battery, I'm still unable to find the drain. The weird thing is that in safe mode it doesn't drain at all, so it's gotta be some app. Even going one by one with apps, I never was able to figure it out. I'd install one and it'd start the drain, but then removing it didn't fix the drain.

I'm pretty convinced the culprit is a Google app, and it must be some specific setting I have on it. That or its my Gear S...
