Note 5 - Battery won't make it through the night

Hey, it's clearly an app issue. The 63% of app usage is through the roof. Check which apps are draining the battery the fastest. Disable/uninstall them and check again about battery usage. Trust me I've been through this

This is what mine looks like. My dbms sit at -100. Do you move around alot. Your phone signal fluctuates quite a bit.

Your phone looks like it's discharging very rapidly....might need to take it to your carrier's local store.

Had my phone on the charger all night, I'll let it discharge and post later this morning.

Ha! That's me and I'm not complaining. I just asked the OP to post that screenshot. I have mine on a wireless charger so I don't worry about drain and since I've purchased the phone I've been DLing and uninstalling apps. At some point I'll get to a stage where I won't be so active and clear out all the riff raff. BTW you gotta be careful about interpreting the percentages....they all got to add to 100% and some numbers may look big but mean nothing. Like right now I'm at 71% app usage but I'm only draining at 3.5% per hour.Which will take me past one full day on a single charge.

3.5%??? I'm discharging more than twice as fast, I really don't understand

This is why they should have never taken away the removable battery.

Your Google Services is off the charts. There is your problem.....

I recommend you do this....Settings/Device/Applications/Applications Manager/All/Google Play services/Clear Cache

According to Gsam this is also syncing your google contacts. You need to poke around Google play and contacts and see what might be up. Factory reset is the only other option that I can see. Perhaps others might have some ideas on the Google Services glitch you have....or you can google that. But that's your problem IMO.

Yes it would, my guess is he is saying with a removable battery you could just replace it with a new one and be at 100% in seconds.

Unfortunately that would not fix the problem. Kind of a nill point on the removable battery.

Lol google play services probably sending so much data to their servers....you have to switch some permissions off

Start removing apps one at a time you really don't need. And see if that puts a dent in drain. Rogue apps can be a problem like that some time. One other shot in the dark, I recall one time I had music stored in two different places. They were mirrors of each other. Can't remember how I did that but it could have been using the Sync app and then re-downloading. Anyway erasing the contents of one location fixed the problem.

Unfortunately that would not fix the problem. Kind of a nill point on the removable battery.

Putting in a fresh battery would at the very least, instantly give him a few more hours. Although it is simply a band aid and not a cure for the actual problem, it's a heck of a lot better than no more hours on a non-removable dead battery.
