Note 5 not accepting my google account, the same that was used before.

My note 5 did not accept my fingerprint, i had forgotten my back up password and my WiFi was not switched on so, i could not log in through my google id. So i did a hard reboot, but now that i want to setup my phone, it shows " This device was reset to continue, log in with a Google account previously synced with the device".
and i am using the same email id.
And i had changed my google account password 2 hours before resetting the phone.

I have read that due to security reasons, google locks out for 72 hours.
is that true?

Hi, yes that is true. So the fingerprint scan has failed, you don't remember the back up password and it won't recognize the Google account into you are using? when did you get the phone? is there a chance you could be using the wrong Google ID?
