Note 5 randomly freezing when writing a text....

I don't have many apps downloaded, the phone is newish, but when texting, sometimes it just freezes while trying to input a letter....I have to wait for it to unfreeze to keep going. What's up with that?

My note 5 does that sometimes too but it's only when I'm in an area in the house that doesn't have good reception when I have full bars it's fine.

I sometimes have mine freeze up when writing as well. I also experience some lag in the keyboard. Not really sure what the problem is or if there's a fix. I'll watch the thread.

Kinda difficult to tell without knowing what keyboard is being used. If using the included Samsung keyboard I would experiment with an alternative like SwiftKey. Then there's the next question involving what messenger app is being deployed.

I'll take a wild guess that MM is Marshmallow. And that KB is keyboard. Don't have the slightest clue what this cryptic posting means.

Not being sarcastic at all. Is the meaning that Marshmallow and not the keyboard is responsible? That's my best guess. But I'm not sure that every poster complaining of this problem is using Marshmallow.

mine would do the same thing until I realized I had a ton of saved text to my GF. It would lag only when I would text her. maybe check to see how many saved messages you have.

Mine started doing that today, I cleared cache in boot menu and seemed to fix it for now. I'm using MM and Minuum keyboard.
