Note 5 still a good buy?

I did. I bought it outright on the T-Mobile website. I always buy my phones outright so I don't have monthly payments.

I plan on buying the S7 when it comes out to replace my 6S as well.
Wow. 64gb? What was that - almost $800? Got a few bucks huh? J/K Good for you! I agree it is the best phone out now. I need a discount though.

Now.... There's the NexusGirl name... Maybe SammyGirl?

I have zero regrets buying my 64 gb note 5. Easily the best phone I've ever bought

Going on 5 months with my Note5 and no regrets. I hadn't bought another flagship since then.

I love my Note5 but we are halfway into the cycle. If you don't need the S Pen, you can opt in for the S7 Edge of you don't mind dual edges as the screen sizes of it will mirror that of the Note5 or you can wait until July for next model. OR buy a used one from Craigslist but check the IMEI with your carrier to ensure its paid off and not flagged.

Wait for the next model to go on sale, after a few months the value of the note 5 will plummet. Then snag it up. Then you can also weigh against the new model and see what direction they are headed. Maybe removable storage will return? If it does not I'm going a different direction. And non removable battery bugs me, esp on the NOTE.

I'm wondering the same as well I originally have a iPhone 6 plus and using Samsung ultimate test drive might make the switch just not sure if the note 5 is still a good buy just like op stated
If samsung keeps heading in the same direction I may be willing to make an offer on your 6 plus.

Would getting the note 5 almost half a year into its life be a bad decision?

I know it's a late reply but I had to respond to this. YES! IT'S AN AMAZING BUY! I just got mine yesterday and I couldn't be happier. I've been craving a return to the android os and this was the best phone I could've picked. The camera is still top notch, the phone still is blazing fast and it is as beautiful as ever. If you are considering this phone run to get it! Lol.

I was waiting to decide after the S7 came out...but plans changed. My sons phone died so nice mom decided on the Note 5 (which was one I was debating on) so we could each save some money. They were having a buy 1 get 1 half off. I really like the sounds of the new S7 though. :(

What you mean by this? Not fond of Samsung?
was for a long time, they need to take their eye of Apple, and give us easier paths to root. Really bothered me that they left removable battery and micro sd out of their last versions. And there's no root method for anything beyond NOTE 3 on vzw and AT&T

Here is a question that i need answered. Why go to iOS when they don't have a removable battery also? Makes no sense unless you like boring phones.

How fast are the note 5's still, my note 4 was lightning out of the box but a turtle 15 months in

I just got mine this past weekend and is great. I told myself that I wouldnt get another Carrier phone but well this AT&T Note 5 is rock solid and most everything on it that is bloat you can disable and most are just links to download the software anyhow.

I like it and the S-Pen is great. This is my first note.

And it won't be your last. :)

my daily driver it's a Verizon note 3 on Jasmine Rom 6.1, it flies, and I have flashed most of the note 5 features. Until they get root method on the vzw att models, I'm holding still, or wait for a better nexus device to release.
