Note 5 - stylus click-top broke off!

The plastic click top of the new stylus broke off. I had to use a set of needle nose to get the stylus itself out.

And no...I did not put it in backwards. Anyone else have this problem?

I can't find a place to purchase a new one? Hoping that they'll replace it? It hasn't even been a week!

I have had two Note 5s (One black 64, one White 32) my black one felt loose from day one and ended up doing this same thing. My white one felt really sturdy and doesn't even wiggle... I think there were a bad batch of pens.. I contacted samsung and asked for a new pen and was told to just swap out the entire device with the carrier.

If it's only been a week, take it back.

Yeah, my click-top seems to be jammed so I can't click it to remove my stylus from my phone. Guess I have to go buy a pair of pliers.

If your spen top is broken, you need to take the phone back and get a new phone.

Re: Note 5 - stylus click-top broke off!

This is my biggest fear for me even more so then dropping my naked N5! You see, I'm a clicker! When I have a ball point pen in my hand I am constantly clicking the top! I do it without thinking and my fear is I will break, wear out and basically destroy my spen!

I'm sure soon they will be avaliable everywhere but....... yeah!

Re: Note 5 - stylus click-top broke off!

I generally just leave mine un-clicked. The Pelican case is thick enough that the pen still doesn't protrude, so it's one less step for me to remove the pen, and less wear and tear on a moving part.

If it comes out fine but if its stuck inside then you should take it back

Yep happened to me today! Was trying out two tech 21 cases. The top broke off and took some time but I took a paperclip and was able to insert it in the part that was now open from the top breaking off. I called att, they are overnighting me a new one... I am started to think of really going with a slim class like the Samsung clear back protector now...not happy after three weeks this happened already!

Re: Note 5 - stylus click-top broke off!

That's what I'm doing as well. The clicker quit working, used a piece of tape to pull the stylus out, then wrapped some string around the top after it popped out so it can't click back in.

I'm not replacing the whole phone just because the clicker quit working. I'd have to set everything back up!

What you can do is wait a short time and return the spen to Samsung. On fact I would call then and tell them that is what I want to do. Generally they try first to repair spens, not just replace them.
