So about a week ago I purchased a Note 7 Duos that came from New York but originally from Singapore via eBay. I had checked if it would work on my current network which is AT&T and apparently it does BUT I noticed that the Samsung Pay doesnt work nor to I get 4G LTE and visual voicemail either. Now I am reaching out to the seller and trying to return to him because of the recall and he is giving me some mumbo jumbo about how samsung told him that that phone wasnt affected and that it isnt a government recall. EBAY SELLER 232TECH SO JUST BEWARE!!!!
Thanks for reaching out to us.
As per Samsung, our Note 7 stock which was part of the first production line of the Samsung Singapore batch were not affected. The phone which you’ve purchased from us has come equipped with a perfectly healthy and fully functioning battery.
As Samsung’s press release has confirmed with regards to the Note 7 production, 0.1 percent of phone’s were affected.
The 0.1 percent of the affected batch of phones were only from the 2nd and 3rd manufactured lines, not the 1st production line of Global N930FD models from Samsung Singapore.
Due to the minuet mount of Note 7’s affected from the US models, this is not a Government recall and Note 7’s are still being sold on eBay, if it was a Government recall eBay would have had all listings removed immediately.
We've extensively researched this issue with our Samsung contact and have contacted eBay as well regarding this and due to the above information our Note 7 listings will not be removed from eBay, you can rest assured that the phone which was purchase from us is completely healthy.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Anyone else have a similar problem and what are you doing to solve it?
Thanks
