Note 7: I got my replacement! Thread

What carrier, color and store did you get this from ? Sorry if I missed that part earlier.

I am also with att, please keep us posted if you have any luck at best buy because no luck here so far all were clueless :/

Everything was perfect. All appeared brand new. I checked the database on my poor little defective note 7 before we even started the exchange process to be sure the two I was picking up checked out good. I felt a little sad giving up the old one. I blew it a little kiss before I reset it and thanked it for being so great and not catching fire..the guy at store probably thinks I'm nuts..lol

Both have the same manufacture date?

Just back from my local sprint store in Indianapolis IN, with a new Note 7, there was a minor change in the SKU (adding a 2) and a black square in the lower right corner of the serial number section.
No issues at all with the exchange even though I ordered it online from Sprint, I traded it at a local store in no time.
Did you wipe the phone before or went with switch transfer?

This is a worthy topic IMO, but oh how the mighty have fallen. There is an anticipation thread for getting replacements for recalls. Yowza!

You still have the freshest phone with the 9/08/16 I guess all the replacements are made in China.
How's the Quality of the China made variant?
Maybe just my imagination but, it seems noticeably more responsive. My first one was very laggy the first couple days almost to the point where I was going to reset and set up as a new device. I had done the transfer from my note 5 to the note 7. After a couple days it seemed to get better. It wasn't perfect but, was better. I went on vacation and never reset it because by the time I returned things were starting to go south. This time we used the Samsung transfer app and backed up to a PC and transferred from the PC to the replacement phones so, I don't know if that made a difference. So far, I'm very pleased. I hope in a day or two more the rest of you will be too.

This...and my recalled one wasn't that laggy to begin with. Maybe it had something to do the 29 (!) updates it downloaded immediately after booting up fully for the first time. I have noticed that the 'fast charging' (via a wireless pad) seems slightly slower, but that the battery life is better - then again, I might just be hyper-vigilant re: batteries now.

Somehow, I have a strange feeling that none of my Verizon corporate stores are going to have Coral Blue. All the people that had to settle for silver of Black are going to redeem their selves.

Lol if that happens at my stores I will keep mine til they have a blue available😊

Did the phone get approval?

I I thought they started selling on the 21st? So some store may have before?
