Do you trust that they're safe? I find myself not even trusting the CPSC. Considering alternatives, as much as it pains me.
Things more likely to kill you this year in the US than the *Exploding Version* of the GN7... (using CDC 2014 stats)

• Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 147,101
• Accidents (unintentional injuries): 136,053
• Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 133,103
• Alzheimer's disease: 93,541
• Diabetes: 76,488
• Influenza and pneumonia: 55,227
• Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 48,146
• Intentional self-harm (suicide): 42,773

Perspective...
People will say, "But this is so easily preventable - change out your phone"... to which I would agree. I got my new one yesterday, in fact...
But, many of the things listed above can also have their likelihood of occurrence reduced by lifestyle changes. If you are a smoker, overweight, not managing your diabetes, not getting the flu vaccine, or the mental health services you need, you would appear to be at a MUCH higher risk for death due to the causes listed above than you would EVER be by a NEW GN7.
Again, perspective...
