note 7 software updates

Could it be that by Samsung using the same internals as the S7 and S7edge in the note7, Samsung will be able to push out software updates and security patches more quickly due to having to do less software-hardware optimisations for different devices?

At least security patches like they've been doing so far with the S7 line. But having the same internals doesn't mean, at all, that it's a simple task to update the software. The Note is a completely different beast with a key hardware difference: The S-Pen digitizer.
