Note 7 Voice to Text Delayed - missing first word

[AC Question]

Having several issues with my new Note 7 Voice to Text. When using voice to text. 98% of the time my first word is not entered. Also, when pausing and the microphone turns off, if I re-activate the voice to text again the first word is capitalized even though there is no punctuation at the end of the previous word. I've also had a problem with reactivation voice to text after a pause that the previous unsent message is erased.
Wondering if anyone else is having similar problems, if you have any suggestions.

I'm having the same problems the voice to text thing is horrible

Yes! It's horrible. I got so used to using voice to text with my Note 2 I'm going nuts! It always types words "period" and "question mark". Misses the first word every time. If you pause more than a few seconds, the mic shuts off and then it erases everything you just typed. SO FRUSTRATED!

Here is what I did. I downloaded Google Keyboard and made that my main keyboard (default) this also let me change the color of my keyboard. I tested and the voice to text works so much better! Try it.
