Note 8 and Android Auto

I recently purchased a 2019 Ram Big Horn with Android Auto. My Note 8 doesn't work with it. My Note pairs with Uconnect just fine but not Android Auto. I tried my S7 and it works great. I've tried everything. Restarting, a different cable, nothing works. I plug a cable in and the phone icon switches to the Android Auto icon (as designed) but only for a split second. Anyone else have this experience?

Not real sure why, mine works as soon as I plug it in. I really don't use it much since the wife drives the car more than I do. My van has ford sync. Have you uninstalled the android auto app and re installed? Maybe remove the Uconnect app and see if that helps.

I haven't tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app. I'll try that. I don't have a Uconnect app on my 8. I was never told I needed it and didn't know one existed. Thanks for the input!

Wasn't sure, I was thinking that Uconnect was set as a priority on your note.

I also have the same truck as you . 19 ram bighorn. My Android Auto works perfect with my note 8.
And you don't need the uconnect app.

I uninstalled the app and reinstalled & it works great.
Thanks so much for weighing in

Great truck. Do you know if there's a way to plug your Note in to charge without activating Android Auto?

My Android Auto comes on when I plug it to charge, but I can just exit Android Auto and carry on with the charging. I either swipe up to do that or push the icon at the bottom of the Android Auto screen to exit.

Thanks for the info. I'll give that a try!
