I'm not sure if this is a Note 8, Android Auto, or Amazon Music issue – I honestly don't remember having this problem with my S8+. When my Note 8 is connected to my car and I ask Google Assistant to play music on Amazon Music the app loads but immediately there is a "No Results" error. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling Amazon Music and clearing data and cache, nothing has fixed the problem.

Asking Google Assistant to play music when not connected to Android Auto it works perfectly.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Instead of asking the assistant, have you tried accessing the Amazon Music app from the Android Auto screen on your car? Or are you using the app on the phone screen instead of plugging it into the car?

Android Auto locks you out of being able to use the phone while plugged into the car. I can unplug the phone and connect to my car via bluetooth and it works fine, just not while connected to AA.

Is there any chance you used smart switch to move your info and apps from your previous phone to your new device? I'm having the same problem with Amazon Music not being shown as an option and I saw a post saying that Android Auto won't recognize apps that were moved from one device to another. The poster suggested uninstalling the app and then re-downloading from the Google Play store. I gave it a try tonight and will check it out tomorrow. Good luck!

Update: this solved my problem. The first time I plugged it in, Android Auto still only saw Google Play Music. I let it open, the clicked the music button again and it showed more options, including Amazon Music.
