Note 8 battery problems

Battery charges to 100% but only getting about 17 hours of stand by time. Use to get 20 and the phone is only a month old. And stand by time drains faster then the %

17 hours to what percent? If you're using the battery until it gets close to 0, that's about to be expected. Lithium batteries are not deep-discharge batteries.

If you're charging at about 40% (which is where you should). restart in Safe Mode and see how long a fresh charge lasts to 40%. (If it lasts longer that way, there's a "runaway app". Find out which one it is, and stop it. (Uninstall it unless you absolutely need it, then force stop it every time you're finished using it).

It only start a few days ago. I did how ever download a new update don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. thanks for the responses and help

The AT&T update a few days ago? One posted they were getting better life After the update. Mines been solid before and after the update.
