Note 8: Bixby vs. Google Assistant; Notes vs. Google Keep

Hey all, I keep going back and forth on my S8 form bixby to Google Asst. and Samsing notes to Google Keep.

I like using bixby to add reminders using boxyby reminders and notes to samsung notes BUT they are not integreated outside of samsung.

On the other hand, I like using Google now to add items to Google Keep and Google Assistant/Google now to add reminders to Google remidners. Both of those integrate outside of just the device using any internet enabled device.

This was all working fine UNTIL the S Pen which saves everything to notes. Further more Google (now or assistant) does not recognize samsung notes as a notes all

Curious for everyone's thoughts and what they use and if you think Samsung will ever make a cloud based integration of their notes and bixby reminders app.

P.S. Let's not even talk about how bixby is not on the S3 (uuugh!)

I like samsung's note apps but I have a program NoteEverything, that I have used since I had a galaxy s3 and I use that too. It will send notes to my google calendar, and I can install it on any phone. I mostly just email stuff between phone and laptop if I really need the note on both.

I have exactly the same problem. I.want to continue using Google services but also like the Note 8. Just hate how Samsung pushes their narrowminded services on me that don't sync with Google services.

This might actually end up being a deal breaker for me personally. If I can't find a way to avoid Samsung's Bixby and cloud I will have to send this phone back.

Why can't you just use the google apps. I use google keep myself. I'm not seeing the issue. If you don't like samsung notes don't use it. Use whatever you prefer.
