Note 8 charging issue

I recently discovered while traveling out of town that my Note 8 will only charge to approximately 90% when connected to the fast charger that came with the phone. It took a couple of weeks for me to realize this because at home I always use wireless charging, which charges to 100%. I tried using a different wired charger but it still stops between 89-92%. Has anyone else experienced this?

heard of similar problem on Note 4 and the user used an aftermarket cable

just remembered now, was there not something about activating/ deactivating mcafee that would only allow 90% charge

It is the charger that came with the phone. I've tried it with a USB-C cable from another device with the same result.

I have a similar problem. I have sent my phone to Samsung service twice but the problem is still persisting. I notice that the charging process will not be interuppted when the phone screen is on. Whenever the screen is off, the phone will only charge for a few second - to a minute then it will stops charging - the red/orange led will turns off as well.

I have to enable the developer mode and keep the "on screen while charging" option on and the phone will charge full 100%. You can try to this method to see if it works or not on your phone.

I think the problem here is the firmware/software of note 8

have you installed any apps that are allowed to auto update but *only* when connected to charger (wireless is on a seperate circuit as far as I understand )
app. could be corrupting charging.
still doing some testing here myself but wil alaborate on this later on when I know more ( or nothing )

Can I know how long you all take the original cable to charge your Note8?
For me, it takes more than an hour to fully charged, even my S6 is charge faster than my note 8. If that any problem with my note 8?
