I have a Note 8, Samsung Wireless Fast Charging Pad with the fast charging wall plug and have intermittent fast charging issue using the wireless charge and just using the wall plug. I'm using the cable that came with the fast charging. I've always had this issue.
  • When it is correctly working I see a notification on the screen that it is fast charging and an estimate of the time to charge the phone.
  • Sometimes the notification just states it is charging and gives the charge time estimate. The estimated time is much longer thus I know it is NOT in fast charge mode.
  • Sometimes when placed on the wireless charger or just using the wall adapter no message is displayed but the battery icon in the upper right corner of the screen indicates that it charging and the blue light in the pad is blinking. When this happens the charge time is VERY long, no estimate is given but I have left the phone in this charging mode and the next morning the battery is dead.
  • With respect to using the wireless fast charger I always try to ensure that the blue light in the pad is blinking. If it is not blinking then I position the phone until it blinks.
  • Yes, I do have both the fast charging wireless/cable turned on in the settings (as a possible fix I have turned this on/off several times, no fix for me). I have also turned it off and on several times. I have seen some postings suggesting this as a possible fix. For me, it has not fixed the issues.
  • I always try to ensure the battery icon shows that the phone is charging when charging and using the wireless pad or just the wall plug.

I do have the same issue, at least when cable charging, on both my Tab S6 and Note 10+. On my opinion, this is due only to the cable and in the phone's case, probably to dirt entered in the usb socket. Its all about loose contact. Try replacing the cable and cleaning the usb socket with canned compressed air.
Regarding the wireless charger, if the issue doesn't always happen, then it is probably due to the cable, if you are using the same one, or to a damaged wireless charger. I have two wireless chargers, exactly the same model, bought on Aliexpress, one that works fine all the time and the other, exactly like yours.
