Note 8 Fingerprint Unlock Stopped Working

Just noticed that my fingerprint unlock stopped working. When I put my finger on it, NOTHING happens.

I deleted my registered fingerprints and added new ones, and nothing. I cleared cache and restarted mutiple times and still nothing. The strange thing is that all other apps that uses fingerprint authentication including Samsung pay still work with no issues what so ever. So doesn't seem to be a hardware issue. It is just acts dead for unlocking the phone. Totally no feedback and nothing happens when trying to unlock.

Anyone else?

I also just tried it with Safe Mode and still nothing. What the heck?

Wow, I figured it out. Somehow my lockscreen timeout changed to 10 minutes. So phone was not really locking until after 10 minutes of screen going off. So when I was trying to unlock before that, there was nothing to unlock as the phone was not locked. I changed the setting for the phone to lock instantly on power button or screen timeout and voila, fingerprint unlock started working. So strange for that setting to change, I never touched it.

Glad it all worked out. Thought there might be a new bug or something.
